Bling Bling Wedding Ring!!

So the word is out & spreading like wildfire!

Friday night was a fun surprise for me. Terance said there were some cancelations for sealings in his friend's ward & they needed some couples. I agreed to go. We went to dinner first & got to the temple a little early. He said - "since we're early - let's go throw a couple pennies in the fountain". I said-ok.

He said - go toss yours in. When I went up to the fountain I looked down & saw this..

I said - "Oh look - someone is going to propose!" (in a cheesy voice). When I turned around Terance was on 1 knee with the ring in hand. I think my response was something like "are you kidding me?" (We had looked at rings - but I had no idea he had it already!)

So - he asked & I agreed. :-) I don't think the smile has come off my face (man are my cheeks sore!!!).

Terance is AMAZING!!! He treats me like a queen! Which is great considering my last name will now be King. :-) What a great weekend!!!

Hawaii - Here We Come!!

One of the best parts is that it will be in Hawaii!!! We're looking at 08-08-08!! Crazy Eights!!

Called to Repentance!!!

Ok ok - I know it's been a while. I've heard from enough people to know that I need to repent & get back into blogging. I guess no one knows what I've been doing & this is the only life line they have intomy life. :-)

So - "let me e-splain, no no there is to much. Let me sum up."

Life has been interesting over the past few months. Of course we had a wonderful Christmas. This is the one of the few times I don't have to travel to the nieces & nephews! The sisters came up with their families & it was a blast! I welcomed the New Year with Back surgery.

Turns out I wasn't milking my injury after all. :-) Had back surgery on the 7th of January. I spent 2 weeks at the folks place recovering & the last 2 months trying to get back into a regular schedule! I'm almost there! & then I've been hanging out with this guy...

So there is the Sum up. I've got a little more info & picts below - but there you go. There is the facinating & exciting life I live. Back surgery! What more could you want? Loves to all!

Cabin Time

A group of us went to Terance's cabin! It was great! SO MUCH SNOW!!! Makes recovery a little harder since I've been forbidden from boarding & restricted in snowmobiling. But it's still great to look at & play in!

The snow from the roof was touching the end of the roof which gave it a cave effect. It was amazing! I haven't seen that much snow in that area for YEARS (if ever)! It was AWESOME!!!

The only down side to the cabin is that the plumbing is turned off in the winter. With my sensitive back I didn't want to squat so we created a potty in the snowbank. Then duct taped (Idaho Crome) a cardboard box to make a seat we could take in so it wasn't freezing. Cool huh? The girls LOVED it! :-)

Oh the joy of the onezie!! This was at the cabin & I went outside to play in it once. I can see the benefits of it! Had to wear the hat Grandpa style. It was just fitting!

Snowmobiling on the lake was a little new for me - but a lot of fun!! Good times were had by all!!

SURGERY!!!

So...that back injury I've been milking turned out to be real! Thanksgiving 2006 I hurt my back & spent the majority of the weekend laying down. It was almost a constant pain. No fun! Well - it would come & go all year. Then the pain changed. I would get a little surge going down my right let. Not too painful. Just had to hold still a bit & it would go away. It was actually easier to deal with so I did a little more.

Oops! Turns out the change in the pain was a second herniation in the L5-S1 Joint. I went up to Terance's cabin & while walking down the hallway the sciatic nerve went cracy. I had to lay down in a contorted pretzel position. Layed there for 2 hours before I could move. After hardly any movement it would do it again! That was Saturday, Sunday I went to the ER & had an 'impressive' MRI. The double herniation looked like a snowman & it was pushing directly on the nerve. They gave me some good pain meds & I had to call a neurosurgeon the next morning. That morning the surgeon called me & told me not to eat anything because it looks like the only thing we could do was surgery to relieve the pain.

So - I checked into the hospital that afternoon & had surgery. They removed the 'impressive' herniated area & drained the fluid in the disk so it would happen again. I walked out of the hospital the next day. Crazy huh?

So - this is my nice & expensive 2" keep sake from the expensive deal. They used super-glue to keep it together. The Dr. said the super-glue has been such a great thing to use!

Now - 2 months later, I love that I've had it! Although I'm out of shape & am trying to get back into it. My back has been pain free (with the exception of the surgery twinges on occasion). As far as back surgeries go I'd say I had the easiest one with the quickest return! It's been great!

Christmas Fun!

Christmas was great! You always wonder what the perfect gift is for the folks & this year I'd have to say the Kudo's goes to BJ. He got dad a snake camera (I don't know what it's called). It has a camera at the end of a flexible tube that allows you to see around corners & behind TV's. Well - the boys had to test it out & I think dad had a great time with it!
